In commemoration of the 70th Anniversary of the end of World War 2, the final Help for Heroes 4×4 European Rally has started from Littlecote House Hotel in North Wiltshire.
This will be the ‘Final Mission’ for the Help for Heroes 4×4 European Rally, and the objective for this year’s event will be to raise £1,000,000 for Help for Heroes. The event will follow the path and tell the story of the Allied Invasion through Europe, following the Allied Forces landings in France early on D-Day morning, 6th June 1944.
As with previous years, Hero the Bear will be accompanying Team Techytubbies, who this year have two entrants:
Team 22 TechyTubbies WsM
Peter Harrison and co-driver Nichol Cross, with navigators Rhu and Ami
Team 24 TechyTubbies Martock
Ed Edwards with co-drivers Vicki Edwards and Ryan Peacock
Here is Big Ted making final preparation for Help for Heroes 4×4 European Rally 2015, with team TechyTubbies, with help from Arthur and Hero.
Our friend Katya is here in the studio to help us with our latest film project. The Bears are hard at work on a music video to the Alien Influence track, Area 51. As this will involve some chroma keying techniques, I have the important job of ironing out all the creases from the green screen!

Watch out for more from the Bears as we work on Area 51!
The bears are back from our road trip to Manchester to visit our friend Katya, who has just graduated from Staffordshire University. As Katya is in to film production, including camera work, sound recording and editing, we look forward to working on a film with her in the near future. Here is a picture of me with her business card, which I am just about to add to my collection!

Today the Bears were at Littlecote House Hotel for the start of the 2014 Help for Heroes 4X4 Rally. As usual, Hero the bear is supporting the TechyTubbies, as they follow the rally across Europe. The 2000mile / 3200km expedition will encompass 7 European countries over a period of 13 days; concluding in Bavaria, Germany.
At last, following the successful conclusion of the court hearing by my people yesterday, the bears are finally moving into the studio. Here the guys and I move the essential beer supplies into the new building ready for our first jam session.
Today is concrete day, so we finished off some detailing and waited for the concrete to arrive. As the delivery was later than expected, I entertained the guys from NDC with some beverages and reading tealeaves.

Once the concrete truck arrived it was all mad activity, with me organizing everything to ensure that things were in the right place. The team worked well, and left us with a coloured and imprinted drive.
Day three of the drive rebuild, but the weather forecast is not good, so no concrete pouring today. Instead Ryan and I finished off the shuttering. Here I am during a brief lull in the rain checking the position of the post holders.
Day two of the drive resurface began bright and early with Ryan and the team from New Design Concrete turning up on time and ready to go. First thing after tea-break was to take delivery of a lorry load of hardcore, which I supervised of course.

Once the hardcore was dropped off, the remainder of the old concrete was loaded on to the grab lorry for reprocessing. Efficient hey?
Today, work has started on leveling and rebuilding the drive which leads up to the studio. The guys from New Design Concrete (NDC) were here bright and early and started breaking up the old concrete, which did not take much effort it appears to me.
I provided words of wisdom and guidance about the finer points of leveling ground, as usual, as well as ensuring quality.

Led by Ryan, Steve, John and Stefan have been doing most of the hard work, while I supply the beverages (that tea, coffee and coffee extra strong, all white with two sugars!).
The bears are really excited to see the final phase of the studio build under way. After all, we have got to have somewhere to park the limo when we are famous!
